Study Q170025. Your Password
Question -
Using a long string of letters and numbers as a password is probably hard to guess, but also easy to forget. On the other hand, using your date of birth is easy to remember, but also easy to guess. When developers create web sites that require password, what do you think the password requirements should be?

3863893The purpose of the password is to keep other people out of your account. Eight characters with numbers and letters is not too much to ask.JeffUnited StatesM55
3864489They can use some kind of encryption that takes for example the user's birthday. This way the risk of your password getting hacked becomes lower because the hackers should guess a function and not just a string. And if you use multiple one to one functions and for every user, use only one of the functions randomly it be ones even harder to guess. And the user just gives you his/her (for example) birthday and it can be given to all the functions and checked and if it works the user can login. This way most of the processing is on the server side and not the client side, which makes hacking it even harder.HosseinIranM17
