Study Q200008. Home Page Menu
Question -
One common dilemma when designing home pages is how much information about sub-menus to include.

Some sites simply list the items of the main menu and trust that the contents of the site will be obvious. Others include both the main menu and sub-menus on the home page which helps you to make a more accurate selection but can also make the page look cluttered. Others still use some form of mouse-over which allows you to see the sub-menus by rolling your mouse over the items in the main menu.

While each of these methods has their advantages and disadvantages, in general terms, which of the methods do you prefer?

4005878I think it depends on the content of the site. If the site is for online shopping which mainly full of graphics, images, and photos of products, then it must be in the right arrangement to make sure it is in order.FranciscoPhilippinesM46
4006691The mouse-over is great, I don’t like the one where if you move just a bit off the menu, it disappears. Maybe putting a time limit like 5 seconds before it disappears would be good. Thanks.RutendoZimbabweF39
