Question -
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Hmm... maybe so, but on the Internet it's also worth quite a few more kbytes in transfer speed and 'waiting-to-load' time.
Text description offers speed and simplicity. A clear picture gives you definition and accuracy, but takes time to load. A thumbnail is a very small picture (quick to load), but it is not very clear.
So, when a site's product catalogue pops up, what do you want to see next to each product name?
